Description
Princess Marcy is an archival print of an artwork produced by Lyle Suter in the early 1970s in his art studio at his home in Los Angeles, CA. The artwork is an oil painting measuring 24 inches by 18 inches.
Mr. Suter’s painting captures Princess Marcy in a sensual and friendly gaze that features her beautiful green eyes and her magnificent afro hairstyle framed by a wonderful background of whites, grays, greens and blues.
Marcellina Williams, was the first African American Princess of Beverly Hills High School (BHHS) after being voted Junior Princess in 1971. Ms. Williams attended BHHS through the integration program Co-founded by Mr. Suter that started in 1969 and lasted 40 years with over 1000 graduates. She was a member of the first graduating class of the integration program officially named the Multi-Cultural Student Transfer Program.
